Securus Donates a Fortune in Free Calls

It seems that over the last decade the south eastern United States has had to face one natural disaster after another. Recently, one of the largest hurricanes to impact the south since hurricane Katrina back in 2005, went through the south and left a long trail of damage and flooding. Many people lost their cars, houses, and all of their possessions. Sadly, many of these people could not even have the full comfort of their loved ones because many of those people have a family member, spouse, parent, or friend that is currently in prison, a juvenile detention center, or is being detained in an immigration detention center and is waiting to be deported. For these unfortunate families, the only comfort they could possibly receive from their loved ones is to speak with them over the phone.

Even worse yet, many of those people could not even have that comfort because they cannot afford to make or receive phone calls due to the rising costs of the calls that are charged by the third party companies that provide them. However, one company Securus Technologies, has generously decided not to be apart of that problem. He estimates that there will be at least a few hundred thousand phone calls made which will be more than a quarter of a million dollar value to the area. Clearly, this is a communications company that truly understands just how important and valuable communication is for those that are separated from the ones that they love in difficult times like these. The free calls will last until September 7th.

The mission of the enterprise, Securus, isn’t just about making money but also to serve all their highly esteemed customers with their best interests at heart.

To that very end, secures is set to have numerous issues reviewed of potential and systematic wrong doings in a series of press releases by GTL in the next half a year to bring GTL to shame and change to act with better and higher integrity.

This very first press release is a formal page by the Louisiana Public Service Commission that regards the actions by GTL. One of the major mistakes they did was to add between fifteen to thirty-six seconds to their calls and advance the call which is an unlawful and unauthorized act. The group also charges higher rates for calls than those that are permitted.
